So I find these threads really interesting. I like to see wgat other people think. This thread is not a way to offend or upset people, I just think its nice to know people opinions.
So, at the moment, it’s a trend to give your daughter a more masculine name. Some names that are used on girls make sense and can easily be unisex but some I just don’t get.
My least favourites are;
[name_u]Jay[/name_u] - [name_u]Jay[/name_u] is a favourite of mine but I can’t stand it on a girl. [name_u]Jay[/name_u] is a boys names. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if you spell it [name_u]Jae[/name_u] (which I also dont like), it’s still a boys name.
[name_u]Jesse[/name_u] - People say that [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] is a girls name. Well, they’re wrong. It’s a biblical boys name. [name_u]Jessie[/name_u] is a girls name.
-son names on girls - This is a trend that I really don’t understand. Excluding [name_u]Allison[/name_u], most of the -son names mean [name_m]SON[/name_m] of… It just doesn’t make sense!
A few more that don’t need lengthy explanations;
[name_u]Reid[/name_u]
[name_u]Jayden[/name_u]/[name_u]Brayden[/name_u]/[name_m]Caden[/name_m]/[name_u]Aiden[/name_u] on girls. I mean, I don’t mind them (excluding [name_u]Jayden[/name_u]) on boys but I dont understand why they’re now considered girls names.
[name_u]Casey[/name_u]
[name_u]Jace[/name_u]
I could go on forever.
p.s. Sorry if I was ranting or if I offended some one.
